Mr. Samir Bista
๐ From Nepal to Nova ScotiaโHelping Students Build Their Future in Canada
I am a mechanical engineering student based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a diverse background that spans engineering, IT, and client services. I hold a diploma in science with engineering and a CCEA certification, which reflects my strong analytical and technical foundation.
My journey in Canada began in 2019 as an international student. Since then, I have navigated the entire student-to-immigrant lifecycle: completing my studies, successfully obtaining permanent residency, and returning to university to pursue my engineering degree. This firsthand experience gives me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that await newcomers.
As a Counsellor at Grow Graduate Worldwide, I leverage my journey to guide and support new students. My multidisciplinary experience allows me to offer a unique and holistic perspective to those I advise.
๐ You can find me on the ICEF Canada Course Graduates (CCGs) list.

What truly drives me is the desire to help others reach their goals. I don’t want new students to make the same mistakes or face the same hurdles that many of us did. My goal is to provide them with clear guidance, practical advice, and a solid plan to help them jumpstart not just their education but also their life and career in a new country.
My Mentorship Philosophy
I base my mentorship approach on empathy and honesty. I believe in providing practical, actionable advice drawn from real-world experience. My goal isn’t just to give answers but to empower students with the confidence and knowledge to build their own successful path in Canada. Your goals become my goals, and we work together to achieve them.
